Not sure what happened but it cut off my outro and the last 6 minutes of my video! Unfortunately, it will come to an abrupt end! Click on the most recent video for the full version!

Since I'm getting older every year, I decided to make a playlist of videos about mountain biking for senior citizens! The first one was just myself and Byron doing some riding. This video is about riding an eMTB versus a regular "analog" bike. Don't get me wrong, my analog bikes have not been relegated to a dusty corner! I probably ride my analog bikes more than my eMTB. Actually, I probably ride both types of bikes every week.

Earlier this year I picked up my first eMTB, a Pivot Shuttle SL, team XTR build. The build I got was not what I intended to buy but there was a Black Friday sale so I was able to get that build for the same price I was going to get a lower version for so it worked out well.

Whether or not you should get an e-bike involves a lot of factors. The fun factor is huge but, it may also be necessary for your health condition and in order to keep you riding. I'm not getting any younger and the aches and pains seem to crop off more often and I certainly don't heal as fast as I used to. I can actually get just a hard of work out on my e-bike but I'm probably going to ride farther and longer. There will be both haters and people who agree. However, a lot more trails are opening up for class 1 e-bikes. The type of e-bike will really depend upon your riding style and the terrain where you typically ride. You may not need a 160mm travel front fork and can get by with something a lot less. You may really want the full power version to get the range and power as you live in the mountains. I get it. I wanted the SL mode as I like that it's not much heavier than my regular enduro bike. You have to decided that. Go throw your leg over a few at a bike shop. Better yet, rent one a few times or go to a demo. It's a great way to get a feel for what you're getting into. Either way, just keep moving!

I appreciate you watching and riding along. Feel free to make a comment below. If you would, please hit that subscribe and like button as it helps me grow the channel. Now, go get outside!
