Ocean City Boardwalk & Camping with WILD HORSES at Assateague State Park, Maryland (RV East Coast)

Ocean City, Maryland has been one of our favorite stops so far! We hit the boardwalk in search of crabs... well a seafood restaurant where we can get some crabs anyway! But what we find is a plethora of yummy 'boardwalk' food instead... will we succumb to temptation.... well of course we do!

With tummies full and hearts happy from walking on the beach, we head to the campground at Assateauge State Park. This campground only has a sand dune that separates the campsites from the Atlantic Ocean... pretty cool! And being the off season, we had the beach to ourselves!

We have heard that wild horses live on the island and we are hoping to spot some! This is a very unusal campsite in that there are no hookups at all... no electricity, no water... nothing. You have to be prepared to boondock and luckily we were.

But did we fing the horses??? YES! They were not in our camping loop, but we looked around and found them everywhere else. What an awesome experience!!
