Wadi Naqab and Red Wall UAE 4K I Hiking in Ras Al Khaimah

Wadi Naqab is a seasonal watercourse, or wadi, in the Hajar Mountains of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

An area of outstanding natural beauty and a popular hiking destination, the wadi cuts into the Yanas Mountain and has been the scene of numerous rescues of unwary and inexperienced hikers by Ras Al Khaimah Police. In the winter months it is prone to violent flash floods.

This vlog was shot in November of 2020 and remained archived since I could not get enough footage on the drone, had to visit the wadi two more times to gather some footage. Those of you who noticed the change in the color of my shorts in the course of the video, now you know why :)

Since the initial visit, the approach road to the wadi has been massively developed and cars can drive up even further to the trail head. Overall the trail is quite doable and depends on how adventerous you really are, there are several routes to choose from. Id recommend you to reserach routes on wikiloc before setting out, phone coverage can be an issue in some corners, so watch out!!
