New Haven 3025: New England Steam with a Chinese Mikado

Описание к видео New Haven 3025: New England Steam with a Chinese Mikado

It's a rainy morning at the Valley Railroad, as 2-8-2 mikado type steam locomotive 3025, prepares for the days work outside of the backshops in Essex, Connecticut. 3025 is dressed as a New Haven J1 mikado, but under all the makeup, is a Chinese SY class mikado, built in 1989 for hauling coal. She is now re-assigned here on passenger duty, as she bring passengers back in time to the 1920's, when times were simpler. When the world moved a lot slower. 3025 puts on a great show for us today, as we chase her and the eight car train along the old New Haven section of track owned by the Valley Railroad. Enjoy the video!
