Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak: Hunting the "Flaming Espinas"

"Flaming Espinas" is a subspecies of Espinas introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Season 2.5.

It features a brown carapace with red spines, claws, and horns. When enraged, its body is covered in glowing orange veins. Otherwise, it's identical to the common Espinas. It is capable of producing larger and more powerful bursts of fire than the common Espinas and is more resistant to damage. Instead of inflicting paralysis, its breath contains a concentrated acid that can melt the armor of its prey. Its most noteworthy ability is charging up its breath attack before unleashing it in a single burst, causing a massive fiery explosion that scatters toxic clouds.

Like the common Espinas, it is a docile and passive wyvern, attacking only when provoked. It sleeps much of the day and is usually encountered in this state. Similar to the common Espinas, it is powerful enough to face and defeat Elder Dragons like Teostra.
