ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನ - ಸಂಚಿಕೆ - ೨ ರ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಂಶಗಳು :-

ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ಕಥಾ ಶ್ರವಣ ನಡೆದದ್ದು ಮೊದಲು ಜನಮೇಜಯನ ಆಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆದರೂ , ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೂ , ತನ್ಮೂಲಕ ಅದರ ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದೂ ಶೌನಕರ ದೀರ್ಘಸತ್ರದ ವಿರಾಮ‌ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ! ಅದು ನಡೆದದ್ದು ನೈಮಿಷಾರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ !!

ನೈಮಿಷಾರಣ್ಯವೆಂದು ಆ ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ , ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಉಗ್ರಶ್ರವಸೌತಿಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ , ಭೃಗುವಂಶದ ಪರಿಚಯಾರಂಭ , ಭೃಗುವನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡುವ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ , ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶನಗಳು........ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ .

ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ಭೃಗು ಒಬ್ಬ ಉದ್ಧಟ . ಈತನೊಬ್ಬ ಋಷಿ . ಇರಬಹುದು ಶಕ್ತರ್ಷಿ ; ಮಹರ್ಷಿ !! ಆದರೀತನಾರು ತ್ರಿಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ? ಅಸಲು ಋಷಿಗಳಿಗೇಕೆ ಬ್ರಮ್ಹ-ವಿಷ್ಣು-ಮಹೇಶ್ವರರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಸಾತ್ವಿಕರೆಂಬ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕುತೂಹಲ ? ಋಷಿ ವಲಯದಿಂದ ಬಹು ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ತ್ರಯರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಏನು ? ......... ಇರಲಿ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾದ ಭೃಗು ಮಾಡಿದ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳೇನು ? ಮೀರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲೆಗಳೇನು ? ಕಲಿತ ಪಾಠಗಳೇನು ? ........ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ಭೃಗುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ .

ಉಪನಿಷತ್ ಕಾಲದ ಭೃಗು ಬ್ರಮ್ಹಙ್ಞಾನಿ . ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತುಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಮ್ಹ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ . ಬ್ರಮ್ಹನ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಏನೆಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯ ಬೆನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಹೊರಟಾತ ಈ ಭೃಗು . ತಪಸ್ವಿ . ವಿನೀತ . ಅಪ್ಪ ವರುಣನಿಂದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತನಾಗಿ ಬಹುದೀರ್ಘ ತಪಗೈದು , ಬ್ರಮ್ಹವನ್ನು " ಆನಂದೋ ಬ್ರಮ್ಹೇತಿ ವ್ಯಜಾನಾತ್ " ಎಂದು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಾನ್ ಸಾಧಕ .

ಇತಿಹಾಸವೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಮಹಾಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಭೃಗುವೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕೃತ ಋಷಿ . ಈತನ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡುಹೋದದ್ದೇ ಪುಲೋಮನೆಂಬ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ! ..... ಇಂತಹ ಅನೇಕ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದೇ ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ದರ್ಶನದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಗರೆಗಳು .

Although the first narration of Mahabharata took place in the court of King Janamejaya, the epic became widespread and popular after the YagnyaSatra ( Yagnyas conducted over a long period) by Shounak Rishi, in Nyimisharanya. ( A forest )

The meaning of the name Nyimisharanya, the significance of Ugrashrava Shroutri who was present for the Yagnya Satra by Shounak Rishi, about Bhrigu Vamsha, especially about Bhrigu Maharshi with his multiple profiles historical, mythological as well as in the times of Upanishad are some of the highlights.

In Mythological profile Bhrigu Maharshi is arrogant. No doubt he has a lot of knowledge, power, yet how can a Rishi go to "Test" and judge as to which one among the three great deities ( Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh ) is superior? Deities being so far above the Rishies, this whole context is absurd. Who gave them the authority and what is this strange curiosity of all the Rishies who asked him? What are the mistakes he committed, the consequences of the same and what he learned in the process?

On the other hand, Bhrigu Maharshi at the time of Upanishads is extremely knowledgeable Brahmarshi in fact. He undergoes a severe penance, as guided by his father Varuna, to discover the meaning of Brahman - the ultimate. He was the one to establish "Anando Brahmeti vyajanat ", yet very humble.
