Messmer: Antichrist of the Golden Order

"Pure and radiant, he wields love to shrive clean the hearts of men, there is nothing more terrifying." Miquella has the ability to compel the affection of those he bewitches through blood magic; he does this to further his goal of superseding the Greater Will's influence in the Lands Between. Being born into the Golden Order he was raised with the views of a fundamentalist; however, his experiences within the order altered his belief in the current system. Experiences such as: being unable to cure either his brother, Godwyn, of his death, or his sister, Malenia, of her rot via the powers of the Greater Will.

Besides witnessing unsolvable issues within his own family Miquella had the ability to travel the Lands Between through the dreams of its inhabitants. Therefore he was able to witness the large scale atrocities committed by the order, like the Fire Giant genocide in the Northern Mountaintops, or the enslavement of Misbegotten in the Southern Peninsula. Miquella instead found a new path forward, a path that would allow him to attain godhood and herald in a new age for the Lands Between.To those on the fringes of society, like the Misbegotten & Albinaurics he is a messiah, albeit one who memorized them into their beliefs.

To the society itself, the Golden Order, he is an antichrist, a deceiver & abomination. In order to defeat the Elden Beast Messmer has become an amalgamation of everything that opposes the Golden Order, everyone they have committed great sins against. The Lands Between have become stagnated with the removal of death; Miquella wishes begin a new age, a new flourishing cycle to ignite the creation of life regardless of the consequences.
