APPROACHING THE FORBIDDEN WALL (A TURNING POINT) Dark Ambient 13 Hydrasynth Deluxe | Behringer 2600

Hello, thanks for coming here...
Since I got the Behringer 2600 last year, I've been wanting to join together its 3 VCO oscillators with oscillators from another synth... To make a 4 or 5 oscillator sound/drone which would make the sound larger, brutal or just more variety etc. As far as I knew I couldn't do this with the synths that I have, not without going down the Midi route... which is another journey in itself :-)

However; since Santa brought me a Hydrasynth over the Christmas holidays (or should I say, the Kundalini oil energy rose up to my pineal gland... ;-) * I wish! * I didn't realise that the Hydra has CV jack inputs 'MOD IN 1 & 2' that could be used to bring in audio from any device/synth... I think.
I didn't know how to do it, so I worked out (via the university of YouTube) how to bring in all 3 Oscillators from the 2600, into the Hydra and mix them with it's 3 digital wavetable Oscillators! Wow, 6 oscillators at once.
There's much fun and experimenting to be had with this over the coming months.

I've added layers of audio samples gathered from many years of recording 'random' noises and sounds from places outside/inside, the sea, machinery or whatever... Giving some extra grit and dirt to the track.

The performance is (to me at least) a cinematic score of a journey travelling through uncertain times, but times where I feel like a turning point is approaching... Whatever that will be!
I made a custom sound on the Hydra with it's 3 oscillators and tuned the 3 x 2600 oscillators, and made it up as I played.

I go into more detail on how the 2600 works, and also what I was doing in parts of the performance. I hope this helps some of you who are interested in performing or making sounds on synthesisers. What I'm showing is to many people basic and beginner level stuff... I'm early in the learning stage of using synths, but loving every minute and I'll keep sharing as I learn more! :-)

We may approach other crossroads of musical directional options later along the way, which I can explore at that point… But for now, its in and out of the darkness and the light 😊
