Dr Sosamma Iype itemizes the various benefits that accrue with our raising native breeds of cattle – good quality (A2 variety) and easily digestible milk that has medicinal properties, manure from dung that is rich in beneficial bacteria and micro-organisms, low maintenance cost, and so on. Most significantly, they contribute to natural biodiversity that plays a crucial role in maintaining the chain of life.
