വനസംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി ജീവിതം ഉഴിഞ്ഞുവച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന, മെക്കാനിക്കല്‍ എന്‍ജിനീയറായ ശ്രീ.കെ.എസ്‌.രവിന്ദ്രന്‍ നായരെയാണ്‌ ഈ ലക്കത്തില്‍ എം.ആര്‍ ഹരി പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്‌. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയില്‍ കുടുംബസ്വത്തായി ലഭിച്ച അഞ്ചേക്കര്‍ സ്ഥലത്താണഅ ശ്രീ.കെ.എസ്‌.രവിന്ദ്രന്‍ നായര്‍ സ്വാഭാവിക വനം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്‌. ഇത്തരം വനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രയോജനം ഉടമസ്ഥര്‍ക്കു മാത്രമല്ല, മനുഷ്യരാശിയ്‌ക്കാകെ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടണമെന്നദ്ദേഹം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. മനുഷ്യ വംശത്തിന്റെ നിലനില്‌പിന്‌ കാടുകള്‍ നില നില്‌ക്കേണ്ടതാവശ്യമാണ്‌. അതു പോലെ തന്നെ പ്രകൃതി വിഭവ വിനിയോഗം വിവേകപൂര്‍വ്വം നിര്‍വ്വബിക്കാനും അതു മ്‌റ്റുജീവജാലങ്ങളുമായി പങ്കുവയ്‌ക്കാനും മനുഷ്യര്‍ തയ്യാറാകണം


In this episode, M. R. Hari introduces Mr Ravindran Nair, an engineer by training, who has set aside all his time and energy for conserving the forest in his five-acre ancestral plot in Ernakulam district. Mr Ravindran Nair believes that the benefits of forests accrue not only to the owners but to the world at large. Nature has to be preserved because only then can humankind be assured of continued existence. More importantly, humans should use natural resources judiciously, and remember to share them with other creatures.
