Crunchy, sour, unripe fruits like crab apples and green mango taste amazing with this dipping sauce, Jeow Mak Muang แจ่วมะม่วง. This sauce is spicy, sweet, funky, and umami, all things that balance the intense tartness of unripe fruits. I have fun summertime memories of harvesting sour crab apples with my family. Our mouths would burn and hiss in content from the spiciness of this dip, as we'd reach in for more crab apples to dip. This stuff is addicting!
