"The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" takes us back to the Capitol's dark history, following a young Coriolanus Snow played marvelously by actor Tom Blyth as he mentors a tribute from District 12 that goes by the name Lucy Gray Baird played by Rachel Zegler. This film continues it's intricate narrative the Hunger Games saga is known for as it explores the evolution of the games. Director Francis Lawrence did a phenomenal job at recreating the atmosphere from the previous films. And writer Suzanne Collins brought back the political intrigue, moral dilemmas, and the dystopian world that set the stage for the iconic series.
