Why is Sonic Generations Getting Remastered?

The hype train never ends. Sonic has had a game every year for the past 3. With Sonic frontiers in 2022, Sonic Superstars in 2023 and now the big new sonic title of the year is... a remaster of Sonic Generations. It brings up the question of why Sega would decide that this game should get a remaster above others like sonic unleashed, but the second part of this package may shed some light onto why.
