Heat Capacities of Gases Cₚ & Cᵥ 🔴 Derivation of Cₚ - Cᵥ = R 🔴 Chemistry for Class 11

Описание к видео Heat Capacities of Gases Cₚ & Cᵥ 🔴 Derivation of Cₚ - Cᵥ = R 🔴 Chemistry for Class 11

In this Thermodynamics (Chemistry) video in Hindi for Class 11 we explained what heat capacities of gases are. We discussed on two heat capacities of gases, viz., heat capacity at constant volume (Cv) and heat capacity at constant pressure (Cp).

Heat capacity at constant volume is defined as the amount of heat to be supplied to a gas to produce a unit change in its temperature keeping its volume the same.

Heat capacity at constant pressure is defined as the amount of heat to be supplied to a gas to produce a unit change in its temperature keeping its pressure the same.

The heat capacity at constant pressure is always larger than the heat capacity at constant volume.

We also derived the relation among Cp, Cv and the gas constant R.
Cp - Cv = R.
