Welcome to our channel! In today's video, we dive into the process of motorizing the LEGO® Technic 42172 McLaren P1™ model. This project has been a thrilling challenge, and we are excited to share the specifics with you.

Key Features of the Build:
Chassis Design: Starting with the original frame, I transitioned to a custom chassis powered by eight BuWizz motors, cleverly arranged to drive each wheel directly, eliminating the need for a traditional rear differential.

Electronic Differential:
By assigning four motors to each wheel, the setup mimics an electronic differential, enhancing performance while minimizing component strain.

Power and Control: The build incorporates four BuWizz 3.0 Pro controllers for unmatched control and responsiveness. Steering is handled by a Powered Up L motor, while an M motor operates the spoiler, neatly tucked between the drive motors.

Build Challenges:
The rear axle, the most complex part of the build, now hosts eight motors with custom adapters for the Audi hubs, ensuring the wheels fit perfectly without needing to be redesigned. The fake engine is now gear-driven by the rear motors, adding a realistic touch with a simple, space-saving mechanism.

Steering Improvements:
The steering system was redesigned for greater accuracy and reduced slack, using a longer arm and a tighter gearing ratio.

Integration and Testing:
All electronic components, including the BuWizz bricks for power management, are seamlessly integrated within the compact design of the car. The model now sports a rolling chassis ready for bodywork and final touches.

Join me as we test this beast on the dyno, aiming for speeds up to 30 km/h. Don’t forget to watch till the end to see how it performs in a real-world run!

Up Next:
Stay tuned for the next update where we'll finish the bodywork and take the fully motorized McLaren P1 for its first test drive. Expect thrilling speeds and detailed insights into the final adjustments and 3D printed components.
