3 Terry Kath Licks From 1977

Описание к видео 3 Terry Kath Licks From 1977

Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Terry Kath Licks From 1977.
I've had several requests to feature some of the late-great Terry Kath's music and once I located the footage used in this lesson, I knew it was finally time to feature him and his fiery blues-rock ideas - so here we go!

This lesson features some slick licks and cool ideas from Kath's fingers and was pulled from two live performances in 1977, not to mention a brief demonstrative clip revealing some of his inventive "Free Form Guitar" antics, which normally involved loads of feedback combined with various squealing "guitar abuse" from this bonafide guitar legend.

The ideas shared in this episode include lots of expressive and dynamic string bending and vibrato moments, combined with some clever position-shifting and movement around the fretboard. Aside from hitting a number of great melodic and blues-rock ideas from Terry's fingers, this lesson also features some classic 1970s effect usage, such as wah and a phaser - so be sure to plug these effects in during this lesson, if you have them in your arsenal/pedalboard.

There's a lot you can pick and learn from a legend as talented as Terry Kath, and this lesson features a glimpse into his inventive and inspiring music and guitar playing. He had a lot of energy and power in his playing style, so be sure to dig-in by fretting and picking a little harder than normal. That's really the only way to nail some of these hard-hitting and emotive sounds you'll hear floating around in blues, rock, funk, and a variety of other musical styles.
