One Minute Bunkai: Shuto Uke #1

Описание к видео One Minute Bunkai: Shuto Uke #1

One Minute Bunkai: One of Karate's most popular moves (also in all martial arts), using the edge of your hand/wrist. In this case it is not the first move but the 3rd. The move basically remains the same, it is used as a final technique not the initial one. Just because it is done by itself in a Kata does not mean that it must be done that way. Every time you practice a "Shuto Uke" you are refining a specific technique that can be used in many configurations along an "undefined" timeline or sequence depending on what you end up using.
Look at it as just one element or a "plug in". Plug it in anywhere it makes sense to do so. If you think this way, with flexibility in an adaptive way, you will find that it is easier to poke someone with your finger tips in the throat, then do a heavy handed move. Follow the course of least resistance, your Kata is trying to talk to you from day one. But you must understand the language it speaks. This is a very effective combination focusing on Shuto Uke.
