Evermore le Masquerade (D&D 5e): Session 26 {To Die on the Vine}

King Emiliano XIII has ascended to the Gerdessi throne at the young age of sixteen, following the mysterious death of his father. Under the guidance of his advisors, chiefly that of Padre Primero Borjido, the adolescent monarch works to maintain the kingdom that his ancestors sculpted Gerdes into - a land of wealth and privilege.

Though Gerdes thrives peacefully upon the world stage, the success of many is built upon what happens behind the curtains.

In order to navigate the waters of Gerdessi society, one must strike a careful balance between debauchery and propriety. Assassination, thievery, slander, illicit business, and trysts are often committed at night by the same hands that conduct state affairs during the day.

This is simply how life is in Gerdes. To be Gerdessi is to always wear a mask.

More strange meetings in Manchalona have momentarily delayed our party from departing for Castille de Borjido. Both someone with visions and dire warnings of their possible future and someone from one of our heroes' past. However, now armed with more tools and a possible meeting with Cimarron's child, their gaze turns once more toward their goal.

It is also on this path that the Borjido family vineyard lies, where the nefarious Borjido Olivida is being made. And our heroes have plans to rid Gerdes of the vile influence this famed beverage has established... with great prejudice.
