60-Min Prenatal Pilates Workout (No Props/Equipment Needed) - At-Home Pregnancy-Friendly Pilates

Описание к видео 60-Min Prenatal Pilates Workout (No Props/Equipment Needed) - At-Home Pregnancy-Friendly Pilates

This is a total body prenatal Pilates workout. No props are needed, but you can always advance by wearing ankle and/or wrist weights.

This is a longer pregnancy-friendly workout at just under 60 mins. Save it for a weekend or other day you have extra time for class. I have lots of shorter prenatal options coming to my channel as well! :)

Watch a quick preview of class here:    • 60 min Pilates workout — pregnancy-fr...

In this class, we start with a warm up and breath work and move into a tabletop series targeting deep core, triceps, and glutes. We'll break up sides with some gentle chest opening and shoulder work. Then it's on to our side body series. We'll challenge the outer hips, shoulder stability, and obliques.

We finish class with some modified push up work, practicing using our breath to stay connected to the core and manage pressure during the exercise.

I don't want to label this a second trimester Pilates class because every pregnancy is so different—you absolutely may be comfortable doing the movements in this class throughout your third trimester as well. For reference though, I am 16 weeks along in this video.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
—Blanket for padding/comfort under knees
—Ankle weights and wrist weights/light hand weights
—Yoga blocks to elevate hands and relieve wrists

I'm so excited to share prenatal Pilates workouts with you all throughout my pregnancy! In addition to being a STOTT trained Pilates Instructor, I am a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (certified through CES). So you're in good hands! That being said, I'm not there in the room with you to form-correct and give individual guidance. You should always consult with your doctor before partaking in a new form of movement. If anything doesn't feel right with your body or causes pain, stop. Every pregnancy is different, and your doctor's advice trumps any guidance I provide in these prenatal Pilates videos.
