Is your back leg rotating down, or front leg swinging open?

Sometimes, on video it’s hard to tell - here’s Performance Coach Scott Firth talking about finding a balance between linear and rotational elements with the lower half during Trevor Rogers’ last mound session.

We noticed Trevor was getting over-rotational with the lower half. This was causing compensations up the chain as well. His torso was driving forward aggressively and was upsetting the timing of his arm into release. Command and were velo down. Introducing a slightly more linear thought process helped him create better direction and separation. Command and velo then went up.
