Join color consultant Dee Schlotter for an in-depth discussion on how and why Frank Lloyd Wright selected the colors and materials for Fallingwater. Retired from PPG after 29 rewarding years, Schlotter will also discuss her involvement in the creation of PPG’s Voice of Color palette inspired by Fallingwater.

Dee Schlotter, recently retired after 29 years with PPG, has her own consulting business in color, marketing and biophilic design for the architectural segment. At PPG, Dee worked in technical service and product marketing bringing zero-VOC, environmentally-preferred products to market. Her longest, most-loved career span with PPG was in Color. Dee initiated the global color workshop to identify color trends across architectural, automotive, and consumer products. The forecasting research resulted in thorough color directions for architects, designers, builders and makers in the hospitality, office, health care, education and residential markets. Dee was PPG’s media spokesperson for more than 12 years with hundreds of press hits each year. She brings that experience to her own consulting company in addition to expanding her color and design knowledge with International Well Building Institute and Living Futures certifications in biophilic and wellness.

ABOUT FALLINGWATER:
Fallingwater is hailed internationally as a masterpiece of 20th century architecture and is Frank Lloyd Wright’s most recognized example of the harmonious union of art, architecture and nature. Entrusted to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in 1963, this dramatically cantilevered house over a waterfall was designed in 1935 for its natural setting and inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019.
