BPMN in Action: Insurance Industry

Welcome back to our BPMN in Action series. Here, we will show why Business Process Model and Notation is the global standard for business process modeling and how it works in different industries and use cases. In this video, Developer Advocate Nele Uhlemann is back to explain how BPMN can be applied in the insurance industry using the process of “submitting an insurance claim,” how Decision Model and Notation (DMN) can help model complex business decisions, and how to combine BPMN and DMN.

As she builds the process from scratch, Nele will show how you can model complex business decisions in DMN and how to export the BPMN diagram to a Decision Requirement Diagram (DRD) diagram. We will then learn how this can help keep process logic clean, transparent, and easy to edit.
