ACB Show & Tell: Marcinkiewicz Vermeer Model Three Trumpet - Killer All Around Horn!

[Link in description] You've probably heard of the incredible Marcinkiewicz mouthpieces, but did you know they also made some fantastic trumpets? This Model Three Marcinkiewicz Vermeer trumpet is awesome. It has some nods to Benge/Besson design elements, and was fully handmade in Oregon.

The Model Three is an all around horn, not too far to the commercial end of the sound spectrum and not as dark as the shepherd's crook Rembrandt models. The Marcinkiewicz trumpets were very popular with L.A. players for many years.

The sound of this horn has so much diversity, and the playability is excellent. It's crisp on the articulations, and very agile for getting around on the horn. The open pedal C is super solid. And with a shallower commercial mouthpiece this horn really lights up! Slotting is great in the upper register.

Absolutely a magnificent horn, I'd love to keep it but I don't have any open spots in my collection right now.
