About this yoga class: Yoga is the practice of integration, of allowing the wholeness of Self to show up. In this flow, we invite ahimsa - the principle of non-violence and love, as we welcome the parts of ourself be it limiting beliefs, inner narratives, or other aspects that we may be inclined to hide. We build our strength by embracing the totality of ourselves and our practice, the parts we love and the parts we avoid. This is the union or yoga of today's class.
What to expect: Begins with restorative hip opener and dirga pranayama - 3 part breath to relax the nervous system. Move through a series of heart opening, back strengthening postures such as locust, bridge, warrior 3, dancer, sphinx.
Working towards: Building towards peak poses which include: dhanurasana, floor bow, half frog - arch bhekasana, and dancer pose nataranjasana.
Filmed in West Tucson, Arizona amidst the Saguaros.
