Gerashi Gheimeh and kebab are local and very delicious dishes from the Gerash region in the south of Fars province, which are among the tastiest foods I've ever eaten. Gerashi Gheimeh is one of the most delicious stews in the world and you won't know it until you try it. This wonderful dish is prepared with caperette (goat), chickpeas, and tomatoes, and it is made from a combination of fourteen different types of ingredients such as cardamom, cloves, coriander, turmeric, pepper, rosemary, cinnamon, and other ingredients. One of the important points of Gheimeh is that they must use fried onions for this dish. When the water boils, it takes about four to five hours on low heat until it is ready and cooked well. This Gheimeh stew is eaten with Gerashi Tahchin, which really has a unique taste.
Next, I tested the Gerashi lamb kebab, which was one of the most delicious kebabs I've eaten. The method of preparing the Gerashi kebab is that fresh lamb meat is marinated with local yogurt mixed with onions, salt and pepper. They add a layer of yogurt and a layer of meat inside a clay jar, and they repeat this process again and close the jar, and leave it for two to three days so that the ingredients are well absorbed by the meat, and then it is put on a skewer and put on a charcoal grill which I have to say is very delicious. I also tried the famous Masghati halva from Gerash, a delicious and nutritious sweet from this region, which is very old and is made with different nuts such as almonds, pistachios, cashews, and in addition to nuts, they also use first-class rose water and saffron, which is very delicious
