Braves waste no time scoring runs off Cubs starter Anthony Young pitcher famous for his losing 27 consecutive decisions, as Young gives up 4 runs in the top of the 1st, walking LF Ryan Klesko then giving up back to back to back Home runs from 1B Fred McGriff a 2-run (3), 3B Terry Pendleton (2), and RF Tony Tarasco (2) Young only lasts 1.1 innings (replaced by right-hander Jim Bullinger) giving up 8 runs on 8 hits as Atlanta picks up 4 additional runs (all charged to Young) in the 2nd, while Braves starter Tom Glavine goes 5.2 innings as the game becomes a blow-out, Glavine gives up 2 runs on 3 hits striking out 5 while walking 4 and picks up the win (2-0) while Young with the loss (0-1)
