OUTPOST ESTATES

Another jaunt to the Hills! By now, I pretty much brace myself for some suffering whenever I go exploring, but today wasn't toooo bad. We go to Outpost Estates to do a climb up Outpost Drive. It's just north of Hollywood, right next to Runyon Canyon Park, the popular hiking area. A serene, twisty road up the mountainside with gorgeous homes along the way. Like most climbs in the Hills, it connects with the famous Mulholland Drive, which is still closed in some parts due to mudslides caused by the heavy rains last month. So instead of taking Mulholland all the way back to the Westside, we go down Laurel Canyon to the Sunset Strip, then do some house hunting in Beverly Hills before heading towards the ocean. Steep climbs and all, I love exploring these Hills!
