Overview of First Year-Prep at PUMS (MD Program)

Long overdue, but here’s a video that recaps some of the resources I used to make it through my first year as an MD student at PUMS in the AdvancedMD program. A complete list of classes are below, but I covered the courses I personally found to be more challenging (all of which have an overwhelming amount of resources available for your knowledge base).

If you have questions, have at me in the comments and i’ll do my best to reply each week. Otherwise, hope this is helpful! Resources mentioned are included next to course names if addressed. The main takeaway from this is to cover Junquiera’s Basic Histology and Atlas before coming to PUMS and to stay on top of coursework BEFORE lectures to be as successful as possible and minimize the overwhelming amount of review you’ll need to do if you don’t.

G Microbiology - First Aid Microbiology before the class begins, then appropriate Sketchy Microbiology videos before each class.
