Glarry Violin - Is a cheap £30 Ebay violin any good?

Although, I am not a trained luthier, I have a reasonable idea about how to set up a violin so that it plays comfortably and sounds ok. This is a cheap ebay violin costing less than £30, so I was quite prepared to have a go at making this one very playable and ideal for a beginner.

I purchased this violin for use in my 'Learn Fiddle' Instructional series, as I felt it would be best to play using a cheap first instrument.
