Hey guys,
This is one of the most interesting and challenging covers for me.
I've been wondering for a long time why Animenz or anyone else doesn't play Medley with Hiroyuki Sawano songs. I took the initiative and decided to make this video.
I took 10 of Animenz's arrangements and put them together in a way that was more or less consistent in tone and tempo.

Let's get to a little breakdown of what I did.
1) 0:00 aLIEz
This is one of my first and favorite Sawano songs. In the original song it's in emoll tonality, but since Sawano's other songs don't have similar tonalities (like Animenz), I just changed it to F#dur tonality. I took the very beginning of the song and its chorus as a basis, reworking some of the moments a bit.
2) 0:57 Bios
This is one of Animenz's most powerful and complex arrangements (in my opinion). Animenz really made an interesting third hand technique in this song. I had to struggle a bit when I adjusted the velocity in MuseScore. As you can see, I swapped some of the bars around to accommodate the most powerful moments from this piece.
3) 01:57 Ninelie
I learned about this song from my music teacher while talking about Hiroyuki Sawano. After the lesson, I decided to listen to it and I really liked it. Animenz did as always his favorite third hand technique and a lot of jumps. I only took a few bars from his arrangement to capture the essence of the piece.
4) 02:45 Avid
Probably one of the emotional and most unappealing songs to me. I don't know why, but I've listened to this piece at most 5-6 times up to this point. Maybe it's because of my dislike for anime 86 (Eighty Six), or maybe it's because of the small amount of "explosion effects" in Animenz's arrangement.
5) 03:20 Call of Silence
On par with Avid, I haven't listened to this piece all that often. It's only recently that I've started listening to it and it's even started to appeal to me. I think many people have noticed that there are some wrong moments between hands in MIDI. Unfortunately, Musescore does not have a function to switch hands at different moments. Various ways to accomplish this, but it's still very inconvenient and nasty.
6) 04:08 Bauklötze
This song is in the top 3 of my favorite works by Hiroyuki Sawano. Lots of "explosion effects", one of my favorite tonalities and the addition of Hiroyuki's other works into one song. I can now play the main theme of Attack on Titan in two tonalities (pog). Had to mess around a bit with the velocity and arpeggios that Animenz added.
7) 05:30 The Reluctant Heroes
Honestly, I can't tell you anything about this song or even the arrangement. I've listened to it only 3 times till now. There's nothing more to say.
8) 06:04 ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn
I think it's time to move on to my all-time favorite pieces. Main Theme - Technicolor, complex and most unusual arrangement by Animenz. Lots of arpeggios, lots of leaps, lots of passages. Someday I will learn to play it too (I hope). For the medley I took the most "explosive" part of the arrangement.
9) 06:34 YouSeeBIGGIRL
Second most important soundtrack to Attack on Titan and in the same place in my heart. I remember watching the anime and that moment, when the truth about Rainer and Berthold is revealed, was one of the emotional. I took the moment from Animenz's arrangement with the third hand technique.
10) 07:23 Vogel im Käfig
I don't think you need an introduction to this piece. The most powerful song by Hiroyuki Sawano and Attack on Titan basically. I heard this piece for the first time when watching the first episode of the anime. Honestly, I even had tears. This song is perfect for dramatic moments. Animenz's arrangement is the best piano arrangement ever. I've listened to many other covers from other composers, but none have been able to convey the emotions that Animenz has conveyed. The calm and peaceful beginning suddenly switches to a dramatic and dark theme. And the ending is the best part of the song. Lots of arpeggios, lots of dynamics. It's everything I like in songs and arrangements.

Lastly, I want to say thanks to Hiroyuki Sawano for such emotional songs. Thanks also to Animenz, who continues after 10+ years to make such beautiful and powerful arrangements.

And as always, enjoy!
