How I Started My Business

Here is a another talking video to welcome all the new subscribers! This is a story of the past few years in case you were curious about what I do for a living. Maqaroon is my full-time job and I put in 10 hours a day running the business. I hope that by sharing my story, it will enable more girls to see that it's not as hard to create your own dream job as you may think.

I literally did everything alone, from home, and learning as I went along. You don't need to start out with connections or a rich husband or all these other things that secretly contribute to many people's perceived success. Not a single person in my family has any business experience so I just went ahead and did it through trial and error. I met buyers through the official route at trade shows and didn't have any introductions as the result of connections or mentors. (Full disclosure: My parents did pay for my food during the first two years when the sales were slow and all my money was being used on marketing and travel)
