Cleveland weather: Temperatures soar, tracking late day thunderstorm chances

Your 7 a.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for April 14, 2024:

It will be a beautiful start to Sunday. Conditions will remain breezy, but there will be a southern component to the wind, meaning warmer temperatures are on the way.

Expect mainly sunny conditions throughout most of the day. A warm front will lift through the area, causing winds to gust between 25-35 MPH. The southerly winds will help temperatures soar into the mid-to-upper 70s.

The milder afternoon air will interact with our next cold front, which will arrive by sunset. Showers will be scattered, mainly south of the metro. An isolated rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out. Expect clearing skies on Monday with slightly cooler temperatures. We reintroduce showers as early as Tuesday evening.
