The Ryland’s Library Papyrus P52, also known as the St. John’s fragment, is a fragment from a papyrus codex, measuring only 3.5 by 2.5 inches at its widest. Found in Egypt one side has part of John 18:31-33 the other side has John 18:37-38. This is the earliest known fragment of the New Testament in any language and mentions Jesus Christ and Pontius Pilate.
