This is a commission piece I was asked to do of a beach somewhere in New Brunswick, Canada. I never complain when I get to use cad orange, mixed with a touch of burnt sienna and/or alizarin crimson you end up with some beautiful orange tones. I also mixed some magenta into the clouds, magenta is a very forgiving color as it's not to strong, I mixed it with some phthalo blue to achieve the mauve tones. I'll let this sit for a few days before giving it a coat of varnish then it should be ready for delivery. Oil on 14x18inch deep edge canvas.
