Extra spicy Som Tam with crispy pan-seared salmon 🌶🌶🌶 Talking about minks and Covid-19 | Yainang

Описание к видео Extra spicy Som Tam with crispy pan-seared salmon 🌶🌶🌶 Talking about minks and Covid-19 | Yainang

This time let's have a simple mukbang.

If it wasn't for the Covid-19 situation, I'd like to go back to Thailand and eat Rejoice's spicy som tam. I really, really want to try it. That's why today I tried my own take on Rejoice's som tam by making it extra spicy and savory with pla ra, accompanied by a crispy pan-seared salmon and fresh veggies.

Welcome to Gin Pai Thai Rang!

0:00:10
Hello, everybody!

0:00:12
Today we're having som tam once again.

0:00:16
It's not that I can't think of anything else to eat or that I've ran out of ideas.

0:00:19
Like I said, I lost about 10 videos.

0:00:23
I didn't know how to work my smartphone back then.

0:00:27
But now, when I have to make a video

0:00:30
I record it in a day and upload it on the next, or on that same day.

0:00:35
So I'm trying to work on my old videos

0:00:38
before I start doing the cooking videos that you guys have requested.

0:00:47
Where I'll do stuff like the corn som tam...

0:00:50
This or that.

0:00:51
I'll make those videos for you.

0:00:52
But right now I'd like to eat my comfort food

0:00:56
so that I get used to the camera once again.

0:01:01
That's it, let's eat now.

0:01:03
Today I have pan-seared salmon.

0:01:06
This salmon piece costs about... 250 baht.

0:01:14
I seared it and the skin turned out so crispy.

0:01:19
That's it.

0:01:22
Come on, guys. Let's eat.

0:01:25
Today I made my som tam extra spicy.

0:01:27
I wanted to eat a spicy som tam.

0:01:28
So I looked up Rejoice's som tam video and I was dying.

0:01:31
If it wasn't for Covid-19, Rejoice's som tam would be next on my list.

0:01:38
Let's eat it with som tam.

0:01:39
There are many types of veggies, as usual.

0:01:42
There's green lettuce, mixed salad, etc.

0:01:43
And lentil pods on the side.

0:01:52
Spring onion.

0:02:19
Leftover rice noodles.

0:02:21
Leftovers from that other day.

0:02:24
I warmed it up... in the microwave.

0:02:27
Quickly.

0:02:53
There's fish bones still.

0:02:57
Look, if I asked my boyfriend to eat it, he'd say, "There are bones!"

0:03:01
And he wouldn't touch it again after that.

0:03:04
That's how Danes are.

0:03:05
They're not used.

0:04:05
So yummy.

0:04:06
Sour at first.

0:04:09
And spicy too, I forgot.

0:05:08
You guys asked for another house tour. I'll do that again next time.

0:05:11
I promise.

0:05:16
Right now it's not settled because the cabinets and all that just arrived.

0:05:23
We haven't installed them yet.

0:06:39
Let me tell you how the coronavirus situation is going.

0:07:04
Right now, there's a new Covid-19 strain in Denmark and minks are carriers.

0:07:09
Minks are used for to make fur coats.

0:07:12
Those mink coats are exported to China and all over the world.

0:07:16
Denmark is a country with tons of mink farms.

0:07:19
It's high quality and the animals are taken good care of.

0:07:22
Foreigners, especially the Chinese, love Danish mink fur coats.

0:07:27
So, this coronavirus strain is spreading in the north of Denmark.

0:07:33
The city is Titsey. It is now on lockdown.

0:07:36
The citizens can't leave, and outsiders can't enter.

0:07:38
The workers there can't leave either.

0:07:41
And those who work outside of that city can't enter either.

0:07:44
This is a new strain and there's no vaccine for it.

0:07:47
They think that the minks in Denmark, and there are about 13-17 million of them

0:07:55
all over the country, must be culled.

0:07:59
Even though we're about one week off from collecting the fur,

0:08:04
they have to be culled.

0:08:06
But right now the mink farmers have come out to protest

0:08:12
that they've been mink farming for 56 or 57 years,

0:08:14
and are asking where they would find other mink breeds if they're all killed off.

0:08:18
That's the current situation and the government is taking care of it.

0:08:23
They're in negotiations since it's a difficult issue for the goverment.

0:08:27
They fear that the new strain will spread to humans.

0:08:29
But let's consider other countries where they farm minks, right?

0:08:33
Minks aren't being killed there.

0:08:35
It's so...

0:08:37
How do you say it...?

0:08:39
It's such a big problem out here.

0:08:41
Those poor minks.

0:08:42
I don't know why mink coats are so demanded.

0:08:45
Can't they get be made from things like plants or something?

0:09:03
One of the farmers interviewed was 50-something and just kept crying,

0:09:10
saying that he'd been in this business for over 50 years.

0:09:15
It's not right to kill off his minks.

0:09:18
The investment is worth millions.

0:09:26
It's not fair, he said.

0:09:28
His minks have not contracted the virus yet.

0:09:31
So he asks why they need to be killed off.

0:09:34
But it's to prevent a possible spread.

0:10:01
So crunchy.

0:10:08
I really like eating the belly.

0:10:11
Look.

0:10:12
Salmon belly.

0:10:46
The salmon ...
