A Tour of the Most Expensive Train Station Ever Built - The Oculus - 02/17/2024

This time we’re going to check out another fairly new rail passenger terminal in New York City…The Oculus!

Constructed during the rebuild of the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the 2001 attacks, The Oculus is the home to 12 different New York City subway lines, as well as the PATH trains to New Jersey.

Designed by Santiago Calatrava, The Oculus is a transportation hub, as well as an underground shopping mall. It connects several different modes of transportation in downtown Manhattan and is the fifth busiest hub in New York.
