3 WAY MEET between CN 566, 568 & GO! CN L566 to & from Elmira @ Ahrens st Kitchener, 04-14-2022

On the night of April 14-15 2022 which was actually Holy Thursday Night, I made a trip to the Kitchener Waterloo Area as I really hoped to film the L566 on the shared Waterloo LRT @ University of Waterloo.

Well I’d say I got lucky as 566 made a trip up that night, my next video will showcase 566 on the Shared LRT Trackage but here I offer a quick scene of CN 4131 both departing and returning to Kitchener from the start of the Waterloo Spur at the double Ahrens/Breightaupt st crossing with the chemical train for Elmira.

What’s even more unique I think is that at the start, timing worked out perfect and I was actually able to film a 3 way train meet in Kitchener between CN 566 creeping up the Waterloo Spur and then CN 568 & a GO train passing eachother on the main line only a block away! Man didn’t expect that at all!
Since 566 didn’t exactly have clearance yet onto the shared LRT Trackage beginning at Waterloo Square, after 568s tail-end cleared they reversed back onto the main for about 20 more minutes until they had the clearance to proceed. Again I didn’t expect the 568 at all so even tho camera went out of focus a couple times, still thought a couple of you still may enjoy this scene.
