The drillBot is an automated production line section. It's designed to perform the drilling steps on an HDPE chassis component for an electronics kit product. My challenges experienced were numerous as this is my first go at CNC, including how to be able to pause and resume with a button press, and how to run multiple stepper procedures simultaneously, . I was able to do both by writing the program as a state machine, where all inputs are checked in between other commands. On the hardware side, I produced my own PCB equivalent with fine wire-wrapping wire, as well as custom header pin cables between boards.
