Soft Close Ratproof Chicken Treadle Feeder

A video showing our newly redesigned medium ratproof chicken feeder with the soft close option installed. The soft close makes training easier, makes the inward swinging door even more safe than before, and prevents the slamming of the door from disturbing neighbors.


The closing action is adjustable on the soft close door. The new design includes many upgrades such as an adjustable spring loaded door system, seamed edges on the side of the opening to protect the rooster's combs, a new adjustable door system that allows a door to be tweaked up and down and to the left or right if needed, a new hanging system that allows you to quickly install the feeder and then lift it off for cleaning. The new design is shorter which cut three inches off the length of the shipping box to save around 10% in shipping costs but the actual feed hopper holds about an extra gallon of feed than the original feeder.


The feeder costs $100.00 with the soft close added, $85.00 for the non soft close feeder. They do well out side as long as it isn't a horrible storm that could blow the door open.
