For this episode, the Drumtrooper picked a song by Northern Irish singer FEARGAL SHARKEY, his most successful hit A GOOD HEART, released in 1985 on his studio album FEARGAL SHARKEY. It's a mid-tempo Rock song that seems to be really calm in the beginning but gains a lot of energy over its running time, especially in the pre-chorus sections where Feargal's raspy but defined voice truly shines.The song has been written by US singer/songwriter Mariah McKee, and the lyrics actually told the story of her broken relationship with a musician called Benmont Tench, who happens to be the keyboardist and founding member of the band Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Not enough fun facts yet? Well, the song has been produced by David A. Stewart, the musical mastermind of Eurythmics, so there's quite a few huge acts of the 1980's involved in the history of this special tune but it's still a forgotten gem of that era, that you don't hear a lot of these days.
