As the drummer leader of my Ken Loomer Big Band, I get to choose what charts to be played. This one call "Wind Machine" composed by Sammy Nestico for the Count Basie Orchestra is a wonderful arrangement I use to start off a concert. The Count also gave this chart to Buddy Rich and I saw Buddy perform this arrangement many times. Like always, I will make a few changes in the arrangement to feature my outstanding musicians and make this a very exciting chart to play. With me behind my classic Slingerland drums, I want to drive the Big Band and support my fellow musicians.
