Alpe d'Huez and Beyond (Lac Besson, France) - Indoor Cycling Training

Описание к видео Alpe d'Huez and Beyond (Lac Besson, France) - Indoor Cycling Training

The 21 bends up to Alpe d'Huez does not need much introduction. It's nothing less than the most well-known climb in the world. But few know it is possible to continue beyond the finish line and further up the mountains. This is the perfect ride if you want to do the famous climb and include an extra segment up to the beautiful mountain lake Lac Besson. Even though bumpy, the road up to the lake offers much better scenery compared to what you have experienced below Alpe d’Huez. The road beyond Alpe d’Huez is much less busy, and the few people you will meet are hikers enjoying the beautiful landscape. This ride is a must-do for anyone who wants to go beyond Alpe d’Huez and experience the raw nature of the upper slopes of this world-famous resort.

In this ride-along video, you ride at the speed of an elite cyclist. If you want to ride at your own speed, please look below for how you can make that possible with our indoor cycling app Open Road.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because of the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
