1967年に「ストロベリー・フィールズ・フォーエバー」との両A面シングルとして発売されたポールマッカートニーの楽曲です。

ペニーレインはリバプールにある通りで、ジョンレノンの実家の近くに実在します。。ポールマッカートニーがジョンの家に遊びに行くときに感じたペニーレイン通りの美しさを歌にしています。目線が子どもっぽくなっていて楽しいですね。
街とともにそこで生活する人も面白みがあってとても味があります。

この6月に私もイギリス旅行で実際のペニーレインを歩くことが実現しました＾＾思わず歌ってしまいました♬

This is a Paul McCartney song released in 1967 as a double A-side single with "Strawberry Fields Forever".

Penny Lane is a real street in Liverpool, near John's family home. Paul sang about the beauty of Penny Lane that he felt when he went to visit John's house...so it's fun to see the perspective become childlike.

The city and the people who live there are interesting and have a lot of flavor.

This June, I also had the opportunity to walk down the real Penny Lane on my trip to England ^^ I couldn't help but sing along ♬
