3 High-Rise SCHINDLER R-Series Dynatron 2 Lifts in Berne, Switzerland

Note: I apologize for the mediocre quality of the raw footage. These lifts have been replaced in the meantime, so this footage is old and cannot be retaken.

This triplex group of Lifts was installed in one of the tallest residential block around Berne. The lifts were installed in 1985 upon construction of the building. The group serves all but the 1st floor, which also contains apartments but can only be accessed via the stairs. The lobby of the building has double floor height and the lifts have no landing.

Sadly, the lifts only run 1.6m/s instead of the possible 1.75m/s with Dynatron 2, which makes them rather slow for the travel height of 70 meters. The 3rd lift has it's own shaft and the motor room is split. It serves as the fireman's lift.

In 2022 the building has been completely renovated and the lift have been replaced with Schindler 5500 MRLs with a speed of 2m/s. The motor room is now empty.
