This triplex group of lifts is situated in an office building in NRW, Germany. It was installed upon construction of the building in the early 90s. The building is very large featuring 10 floors above ground and multiple building cores. These lifts serve as the main lifts. The speed of 1.6m/s is adequate for the application and the lifts are heavy duty and well built. During the time of recording the 3rd lift was out of service. It is the only one of the 3 lifts that still has the original API 36 drive, one of the earliest VFDs for lifts ever built. The other lifts have gotten new VFDs of the MFC 20 type by modern TKE.
