These lifts are situated in a residential block in Chur, Switzerland. They were built by Schlieren in the 1970s and installed upon construction of the tower. Originally, these lifts were 2-speed. They used Schlieren's own relay controller with motorized floor selector.

In 2008 the lifts have been modernised by Schindler. The complete electric part has been replaced with MX-GC controllers and Variodyn drives, as well as FI MXB buttons. The speed of 1.2m/s has been left unchanged.
The original Schlieren landing doors have also been kept and adapted to work with a new Schindler QKS inner door.

Interesting choices have been made regarding the motors:
The small lift has a standard W163 machine with a gear ratio of 43:1 and a 570mm traction sheave. This would only result in a speed of 1m/s at 1440 rpm, therefore a 1800 rpm motor was used instead to rech the 1.2m/s.
The big lift uses a P420 planetary geared machine. These gearboxes were manufctured by ZF (Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen) for Schindler and are pretty rare.
