In Michigan High School Football's regular season finale, unbeaten 8-0 programs met on Saturday afternoon on October 22nd at Brighton High School, to determine the championship of the KLAA conference. The Belleville Tigers entered as the defending league champions, defending state champions in Division 1, and the #1 overall ranked team in Michigan. The hometown Brighton Bulldogs boasted a #14 overall ranking, and appeared poised to challenge the champs.

What transpired was an impressive display of excellence, in every faze of the game by visiting Belleville. The Tigers demonstrated why they enter the playoffs as the state's #1 ranked team. Behind a sterling performance from sophomore quarterback Bryce Underwood and his offensive line, Belleville posted 463 yards in total offense. They completed passes to eight different receivers, and saw four different ball carries used in the run game. Head Coach Jermain Crowell's Tigers finish the regular season having averaged 52.6 ppg on offense, while only allowing just 8.2 ppg on defense.
