2022 MHSAA D1 Football Finals: Belleville 35 Caledonia 17 (November 26, 2022)

The 2022 MHSAA Division 1 State Championship Game saw the the metro Detroit area's Belleville Tigers, the defending state champions, take on first time D1 finalist, the Caledonia Fighting Scots.

This game boasted two of the finest quarterbacks in Michigan in 2022, with Caledonia senior QB Mason McKenzie, and Belleville sophomore signal caller Bryce Underwood.

Underwood quarterbacked Belleville to a title in 2021, and was awe-inspiring again in leading the Tigers to a second-straight championship. He threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 149 yards and a score. The victory gave Belleville their first perfect season since 1958.
