THESE TEAMS HAVE BEEF! Toledo Walleye VS Fort Wayne Komets 11/18/2023

Fort Wayne and Toledo, 100 miles apart, less than a two hour drive, tempers unlimited! This rivalry goes back, way back to the 1950s. (maybe I could do a video essay on the subject?) Toledo inadvertently gave the gift that is Komet hockey to the city of Fort Wayne. The modern day iterations of the two city's hockey clubs are near perennial playoff contenders with a fair share of championships.

These two teams have faced each other 4 times already and is set to play each other a whopping 13 times this year! Fights of plenty have been stirred up already, with the road teams fans traveling well. The Komets (5-4-0) doing their best New York Islanders impression this year and blowing leads on a night in night out basis look to ride momentum of a short two game winning streak. The Walleye (6-1-2) on the other hand continue their raid and pillage that is the regular season and is on pace to be one of the best teams in the league. The Komets handed Toledo their first game without points last Sunday at the Huntington (Not a dump like the Toledo Sports Arena) Center. Every game this year have been high scoring bonkers games. These two teams have some of the most passionate fans in the ECHL and their attendance figures proves it (we'll just ignore the fact that Jacksonville is 1st in attendance as of posting this video, we can agree on that at least, right Walleye fans?)
