romanticising a quiet life 💌 journaling, reading & being a homebody

hello friend, i hope you’re well :)

since moving to edinburgh in october 2022, i have embraced a much quieter life compared to when i lived in london and shared a flat with two people. i would never be home because it was too small, and i would go crazy in my tiny bedroom. but now that i live on my own (for the very first time), i’m savouring these small moments in which to find daily happiness. like lingering in the kitchen while having breakfast, taking over the living room for leisurely activities like journaling or reading books without having to think i’ve got 30 minutes before someone gets home and it won’t be peaceful anymore. that’s why i love to romanticise having a quiet life. sometimes, a good book and a cup of coffee are all you need.
